Art Alliance Activity

On Saturday, the kids and I went to the Art Alliance Activity at the Community Campus. The kids had such a wonderful time. When we got there, there was a great big castle that the kids were allowed to paint. Of course we HAD to do that!Cole ended up painting that entire door red. And some of his hat and his new shoes, too.

The first class the kids were enrolled in was Ferdinand and the Strings. They got to listen to the story of Ferdinand told along with a lady playing the violin. We really enjoyed it. Aly and I sat in on that and it was fun to hear the fun things you can do with a violin. After the story ended, we went to the Instrument Petting Zoo. The kids got to handle different instruments and even play them.

We got to have cousin Kennedy come with us and I was told she had a wonderful time. As a matter of fact, I think we all had great time! Aly helped me out a TON, the classes were for K-5th grade, but she came with me and split up with me as needed and she even learned alot about acting, too - when she went with Cole! At the end, she happily got to sit at the Girl Scout Cookie table and sell cookies! She was a pro at giving back change (with a little help from the "cheat sheet"- hey, don't knock it, I need it too!)

Ok, I'm aching to post this, so I'm going to add the rest later in a second blog.
